Portal URL and MAC Address: How MAG Boxes Connect
MAG boxes work unlike every other device. There is no app to install and no username to type — the box identifies itself by its MAC address, and that address has to be authorised before anything will load.
That reverses the usual order: you send us the MAC first, then we activate.

Send your MAC address when you order, not afterwards. Activation cannot happen without it, and this is by far the most common reason a MAG setup stalls.
Finding your MAC address
It is a twelve-character code in the form 00:1A:79:XX:XX:XX. Every MAG box has one and it never changes.
- On the box — printed on a sticker underneath, next to the serial number
- On screen — Settings → System Settings → About, or on the boot screen
Send it to us exactly as shown, including the colons.
Entering the portal URL
Once we confirm your MAC is authorised, we send a portal address. To enter it:
- From the main menu, open Settings
- Choose System Settings
- Choose Servers, then Portals
- In Portal 1 Name, type any label you like
- In Portal 1 URL, enter the address exactly as sent
- Save, return to the main menu, and restart the box
On restart the portal loads and your channels appear. First load takes a minute or so while the guide downloads.
MAG only reads portal settings at boot
If you change the portal and nothing happens, you have not restarted. This is not a fault — the box simply does not re-read that setting while running.
Which MAG models are supported
All the common ones: MAG 250, 254, 256, 322, 324, 349, 351, 420 and 424, along with newer Infomir releases.
Older models such as the 250 handle SD and HD comfortably but cannot manage 4K — a hardware limitation rather than a stream problem. If picture quality is your priority, use a recent model or a different device. See 4K requirements.
MAG emulators and virtual MACs
Some Android apps and set-top boxes emulate a MAG portal by letting you set a virtual MAC address. These generally work fine.
Tell us you are using an emulator and give us the virtual MAC you have chosen, so we authorise that rather than a physical one.

How do I set up IPTV on a MAG box?
Send your box’s MAC address so it can be authorised, then enter the portal URL under Settings, System Settings, Servers, Portals. Save and fully restart the box, and your channels load on reboot.
Where do I find my MAG MAC address?

Can I move my subscription to a different MAG box?

Do MAG boxes support 4K?
Newer models such as the 420 and 424 do. Older models including the 250 and 254 do not and will struggle if pointed at 4K streams, so select HD versions of channels on older hardware.
Can I use a MAG emulator instead of a real box?
