Setup comes down to the same few facts on every device: a server address, a username and a password — or a single M3U link, or a portal URL if you are on MAG.
What changes is where you type them. Most people are watching within five minutes.
Before you start
Three things need to be in place, and getting them right first prevents almost every support message we receive.
1. Your Nartiel8k details
After ordering you receive either a server URL with a username and password, or a single M3U link, or a portal URL for MAG. Keep the message open while you set up. See how activation works.
2. A connection that can carry the stream

Stability matters more than speed. If you can use a cable, do — it removes the most common cause of stuttering. More in the speed guide.
3. A player app
We do not ship our own app, deliberately. The established players are better than anything a provider could build, and they are free.

This decides more about the result than the app does.

Set up by device
The universal shape, whatever you are on:
- Install a player app from your device’s store
- Choose “Login with Xtream Codes API” when asked how to add a playlist
- Enter the server URL, username and password exactly as sent
- Wait 30 to 90 seconds while the channel list and guide download
Paste, do not type. Entering credentials with a TV remote causes the overwhelming majority of failed setups — usually an autocapitalised first letter or a missing port number. Use your phone as a keyboard where the device allows it.
Loading the TV guide
With Xtream Codes the guide loads automatically alongside the channels. If it is blank, it is almost always one of three things:
- Still downloading. It is a large file — allow two to three minutes on first setup
- The device clock is wrong. Programmes appear shifted by a fixed number of hours. Fix the device time zone, not the app
- You are on M3U, which carries little or no guide data. Ask for Xtream Codes instead

Setup questions
How do I set up Nartiel8k?
Install a player app, choose the Xtream Codes login option, and enter the server URL, username and password we sent. The channel list and guide load within about a minute. On Samsung and LG televisions the process uses a device key and an M3U link instead.
How long does setup take?
About five minutes on most devices. Installing the app takes longest; entering details takes under a minute, and the first channel-list load takes 30 to 90 seconds because the guide downloads with it.
Which app should I use?
Whichever established player your platform supports best. We deliberately do not ship our own app, because the existing players are better than anything a provider could build and they are free.
Which format do I need for my device?
Xtream Codes for Firestick, Android, iOS and desktop players. M3U for Samsung and LG device-key apps and for VLC. A portal URL with an authorised MAC address for MAG boxes.
Why did my login fail?
Most often the server URL is missing its port number, or the first letter of the username was autocapitalised by the device keyboard. Both produce a failure identical to a wrong password. Paste the details rather than typing them.
Why is my TV guide empty?
Either it has not finished downloading, which takes two to three minutes on first setup, or your device clock and time zone are wrong, or you are connected with an M3U link which carries little guide data.
Can I set it up on more than one device?
Yes, install it on as many as you like. Only one can play at a time on a standard plan, and switching between devices is instant with no reconfiguration.
Do I need to buy any hardware?
No. If you own a Smart TV, streaming stick, phone, tablet or computer you already have everything needed. No dish, no cable box and no special receiver.
