Samsung televisions run Tizen, their own operating system with their own app store. That means a smaller choice of IPTV players than Android, and a different way of connecting.
Most Tizen players use a device key rather than a typed login — which is genuinely better on a television, because it removes password entry with the remote.

Which players are available

The device-key activation model
Instead of typing credentials into the television, the app displays a device key and a MAC address. You then attach your playlist from a web page on your phone or computer, and the app collects it.
This is a real advantage on a television. Typing a long password with a TV remote is where most Smart TV setups fail. Removing the typing removes the failure — and it means you can change the playlist later from your phone without touching the television at all.

Step-by-step setup
- Press Home and open Apps on the television
- Search for an IPTV player and install it
- Open it. The first screen shows your device key and MAC address — write both down
- On your phone or computer, go to the activation website shown on that screen
- Enter the device key and MAC, then add your playlist using the M3U link we sent
- Save, then close and reopen the app on the television
Channels appear on reopening. Allow a minute or so for the list to load.
Activation fees explained
Most Tizen IPTV players are free to install but charge a small one-time payment to activate, usually after a short trial.
That fee goes to the app developer, not to us. We receive no part of it and cannot waive or refund it. It is a separate transaction from your Nartiel8k subscription.
When to use an external device instead
If your television is more than about six years old, or its store has no suitable player, do not fight it. A streaming stick plugged into any HDMI port will be faster than the television’s own processor, gives you a much better choice of apps, and avoids activation fees entirely.
That is genuinely the advice we give most often, and it usually costs less than the app fee plus the frustration.
